LONGTAIL BOAT IN PHI PHI (TAXI BOAT)

These are the real stars of Phi Phi. Very photogenic water taxis continuously plying the waters of Phi Phi. For many people staying in hotels far from the center is the only way to reach the village, since all traffic is strictly prohibited on the island. Be aware that it is very difficult to lower the price, if not impossible.

The long tail boats are named after the long rod finished with a propeller that drivers dive into the water to steer their boat. At the end of the bow, flowers and colored fabrics protect the crew from the dangers of the sea.

At sunrise, long tails drivers are preparing their boat. Then we will board one of those curious boat, propelled by a noisy gasoline engine. We go to Phi Phi Don rocky and turquoise coves, and the secrets shores of the smaller Phi Phi Lae. We make a detour to Viking Cave (where some Thai collect birds' nests), then we go to Maya Bay. Phi Phi Lee has other secret beaches, hidden by towering cliffs, only the drivers know.
