LOW TIDE IN PHI PHI, LOH DALUM BAY

At low tide, the landscape of Phi Phi are totally different. The holidaymakers basking on the sand, the sea withdrew several miles away. Unable to leave the island from Loh Dalam Bay, the long tail boats, as planted in the sand, are temporarily immobilized. You have to cross the thin strip of land and join Ton Sai Bay, where the dock is located.

Be aware if you're planning a kayak trip from Loh Dalam Bay (to go to Monkey Beach, for example). At low tide, you'll have to pull your boat several hundred meters or more to reach the water. Check the tide times with long tails drivers.
